Data Privacy Statement of the International Postdoc Initiative (IPODI)
The International Postdoc Initiative takes the protection of your privacy and your personal data very seriously, particularly in the context of online applications and our applicant management procedures.
Storage and processing of personal data; consent
Your personal data is only collected and stored if you make it voluntarily available to us by registering on our application portal or as a result of your sending emails to us.
By registering on the IPODI application portal, you state your interest in an IPODI fellowship and make your personal data available for the purposes of an actual application. By registering, you also declare your consent to our storing and processing the data thus provided by you; your consent is provided by setting up a user account.
Your data will be stored on the servers of ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich (Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Deutschland) as part of a processing contract in accordance with Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation. Your data is for exclusive use by IPODI. Neither IPODI nor persons commissioned by IPODI will make your personal data available to third parties in any form without your permission unless ordered to do so by an official body.
Designated use
The personal data you provide will be used for the purposes of processing your application and initiating an employment relationship. In general, applications will be deleted six months after the end of the selection and hiring process. Anonymized aspects of the applications will be stored for the duration of the program and statistically analyzed for the purposes of evaluating the program: nationality, country of residence, results of peer review, discipline, year of PhD, faculty, final status of application, and source through which the applicant learned about the call. Applicants reaching the second stage of the selection procedure (the interview) are to provide their consent to their name being stored for the purposes of evaluating the program.
Access to your data is restricted to those IPODI staff, reviewers and members of the selection committee actually involved in the selection process. These parties are officially obliged to treat your data and details properly and with confidentiality.
Right of access and amendment
You have the right to check all your personal data stored with us and to amend any such data which you feel is either not current or accurate. Additionally, you have the right, at any time, to fully delete the aforementioned data should you wish to withdraw your application. Please contact the IPODI office to do so.
Right to retract consent
You are entitled, at any time, to retract your consent regarding the use of your personal data with future effect. An email written to the address provided in the Impressum is sufficient for this purpose.
Data storage
Your personal data will be stored only for the duration of the recruitment process for which you have provided your consent. Your application data will be deleted within six months of the end of the recruitment process.
Advertising; responsibility for consent
IPODI has undertaken extensive security measures to ensure the protection of your data. We do not bear responsibility for any unsolicited advertising or post (spam mails) which you may receive by email.
IPODI expressly rejects all content which offends against common decency, but accepts no liability for such contraventions.
